A traditional Estonian party, which flexibly incorporates social intercourse, energetic activity and information about Estonian customs and traditions. It features a lively performances of enjoyable music. The program includes a spirited musical greeting, a humorous “speech,” traditional background music, a folk-dance show, short pantomimic pieces, exciting strength tests, Estonian singing games, an introduction of Estonian musical instruments, fortune telling and the finale, a traditional “Tail-Dance” which gathers everyone together in a friendly bundle.

Estonian Musical Instruments
This is an impressive program full of fast and cheerful Estonian folk music, also providing an introduction to folk musical instruments. You can see, listen to, and play a dozen of Estonia’s most loved musical instruments including the accordion, bagpipes, Estonian zither, jew’s harp and shepard’s bag. Short presentations introduce the instruments and alternate with samples of music—each one different sound and mood.For the Estonians, musical instruments are not only a part of festive occasions. According to the old masters, the sound of music could scare away devils, cruel spirits and wild animals. The sound of music had the power to cure the sick, and a magical tour made round a farmhouse with a musical instrument in hand was the equivalent of the present day home insurance!
